Roman says:

It's a 1993 Ford Mustang LX police sedan that formerly served as a highway patrol unit for the Texas Department of Public Safety. It currently has 140,000 miles on it and is a daily driver. Improvements include Flowmaster mufflers and a Mac cold air kit and K&N air filter. The lightbar is fully functional. Interior is original and clean and it was retired from service in October 1997 and sold at the Texas DPS vehicles auctions in February 1998 and I took ownership of it in September 1998.

Roman adds "The license plates say it all!"

Updated info:

My car is a 1993 Ford Mustang LX 2dr sedan that served in the Highway Patrol with the Texas Department of Public Safety. It was stationed in Lee County, Texas near Giddings from 1993 to 1997. The original fleet number is #M93-391. This unit was assigned to Trooper B.A. Oppermann, THP-Giddings. It was used as a daily driver from 1998 to 2002 when it was restored by Roman Collins and father, Joe Collins. It is no longer driven daily. It sits in the garage until show time or an occasional drive around town. It is transported to shows via car trailer. The decals are magnetic and remove easily for any regular street driving. The lightbar also comes off in just a few seconds so that no Texas laws are violated.

Restored: March 2002
Owners: Roman & Piper Collins
Lufkin, Texas
