I believe most are at the Sheraton Convention Center. (show site). Will be a Marriott at time of show.
The back up is the Marriott at 119th & Metcalf, OP,.KS
Trouble with this hotel is you must drive, cant walk due to heavy traffic. 6 lanes of traffic on Metcalf.
Some are staying at Hilton Garden Inn 5800 College Blvd, OP,KS. easy 5 minute walk to site.
Marriott Courtyard 11001 Woodson, OP,KS. another easy walk to show site 5 minutes.
There is a Holiday Inn Express at I-435 & Nall and is a hike to site.
I have a reservation at each of the hotels, except Holiday Inn, for any late bloomers deciding to come. I probably will cancel those reservations out, one week prior to the show. MCA site has codes for discounts or book on web sites for respective hotels for your discounts.
The Friday night BBQ will be Jack Stack Catered. As a group, you can eat 3 great meals at the restaurant for the price of $50.00 they are asking. We will do a a BBQ together and one of the Jack Stack is about 8 minutes from the show site and you can get the atmosphere. Aaron S wants BBQ breakfast, lunch and dinner and I plan on taking a group to the original Arthur Bryant's, in the hood. No details of this, but committees are working on catered bus tours and or car cruises to our city and will probably include a tour of WW I Museum. I highly recommend this to visitors as it is the only National Museum in the World to WWI. Plans are in the works to visit the Kansas race Track ( NASCAR) and yes we have a Arthur Bryant's BBQ blocks from the track.
Sorry folks, the '88 MSHP will not be completed in time for the show. I didn't mean to mislead anyone with my Avatar photo - it is my car but many years ago when in service. We will be attending the show but will be bringing our 2007 Shelby GT. Looking forward to seeing everyone and some of that good BBQ.
