  • SSP VIN Registry now online!

    Well,
here goes, the first effort at compiling a complete and accurate collection of SSP VIN numbers. I've added the first cut tonight. Any of you guys with '89-90 CHP cars, or '91-93 FHP cars, be sure to check it out.

Additionally, I would like to offer some kind of dash plaque, or emblem to signify anyone who would like to 'register' their VIN..No charge. Anyone have ideas on that, please let me know. Maybe something like the Police Interceptor badge for the decklid? Could be kinda cool...

Also, I would welcome any VIN additions, but they must be verifiable..we need to keep the list accurate.
    Thx,
    --Mike

PS: Oh, the FHP SSP restoration document should be up next week, I've got personnel from FHP HQ helping me with the effort, and hope to have it back next week for review. Thanks.

      VIN

      Mike,

I am 'pumped' ref. the VIN master sheet; so much that I went out to my 1989 FSP to write it down.

The VIN is 1FABP4036KF212026, it is a Florida car, and I believe the ownership of this vehicle is as follows:

FSP, Florida citizen in Navy, George citizen located in ACWORTH, GA, then me. I have owned the car +/- 5 years.

What info. do I need to obtain to qualify the car for the register?

Jim (ahem) cannot take the credit here. The vin info came from my super secret, deeply embedded, SSP soldier living on the West coast, that chooses, in the westest of west coast fashion, to remain anonymous.

I would love to put mine on there but I can't figure out where mine came from. I can see the buck-tag behind the drivers headlamp but what info do I need off of it?

Mike, I ,as well as others certainly appreciate what must be a monumental task compiling and getting the registry up and going. It's a job i would'nt want to do. When i joined SSMOA i sentyou hard copies of my buck tags, title, etc.in with my dues. let me know if you need anything else to register my TX car(M9-259).
                          thanks, adam

No, the DSO and Buck Tags are the only way to tell on a SSP.
