  • Picked up a 93 GSP SSP today...

Apparently it was used as an undercover unit and was never painted silver/blue. The whole car is dark navy blue (on the door jamb is written "Paint L.A. Blue"). It has a bunch of Georgia State Patrol Paperwork in it along with some Clayton County Police Administrator paperwork as well.

Found in trunk deck lid mounted rectangle blue lights and a siren. Amongst other things.

Should I leave the paint as is or paint it silver and ultra blue? This is my first journey into an SSP car and I was looking for some starter advice.

    Thanks guys

can you post pics of the vehicle and of what you have found in it?

Did you locate the (2) BUC tags at the front rad support (behind driver's side headlight)? If so, what do those BUC's say? The 2nd tag more specifically will usually say to what Dept. the car was to have gone and paint scheme.

Yeah, no problem, let me go take a few pics and upload them photobucket, give me a few minutes.

The first thing I checked was the buc tags. The second definitely says DSO POLICE, I can't get my hand back there to see the rest underneath.

Thanks, that spoiler will be leaving shortly. It's not even correct for a Feature, hint: look to the right....

Nice car. I would leave the paint if that is how it was from the GHP. I am one for how it left the factory.

AG_GSP_SSP_3.jpgWonder if this could be your car pictured in the background? I can't tell if the color is dark green, or blue in that pic. Would be cool if it was your car! Congrats on the purchase, and leave that car blue.

                          The GSP Unmarked

What I would do is leave it like factory. If you needed to JAZZ it up for shows you could always buy magnet GSP markings and then tell all it was unmarked while in service.

Nice ride. Is the car an AUTO or 5SP?

That siren speaker looks like a car alarm speaker. I like the blue lights. I have the same style in the barn in red/amber.

I would do it as the GSP used it.
