1990 Mustang LX 5.0L Notchback SSP $1500

Special Service Package, Police Car. Never used in public service. 67,007 are miles showing on the odometer. The previous owner messed up and title says 92,000 miles, I have no idea how or why, so I’ll have to show that an odometer discrepancy exists.

Project car, I started this project then lost interest. Tore it apart for a through custom resto, then gave up. I put it back together enough to roll onto a trailer and say goodbye. It is an original Kentucky SSP that was never used in service, always privately owned. Complete with buck tags and calibrated 160 mph speedo. Clean 10 hole rims. I picked it up from KY myself. Car was originally a 4 spd. auto, but I bought a T-5 package for it (trans, bell housing, motor plate, clutch cable, pedal assembly, upper shifter boot and flywheel) I already installed the pedals, all the setup needs is a clutch pack and throw out bearing. A brand new B&M mega ratchet shifter is currently installed and stays with car. Sorry no auto trans included.

Car has had the hood, deck lid, driver and passenger door, passenger fender, and gas door replaced due to vandalism that what the previous owner had told me. The replaced body parts are from a red non- 5.0L. Very minor surface rust in a few spots and under the deck lid edge, otherwise it’s pretty clean.

All the original parts that I have will go with it (have almost all except a few) and a slew of new replacement parts go too. Here’s the list, silicone radiator hoses, radiator cap, thermostat, gasket kits, one piece oil pan gasket, F & R mains, soft plug and dowel kit, timing chain, water pump, oil pump and pick up, new radiator fan, O2 sensor, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, head bolts, cold air induction kit, a bigger MAF duct, door and deck weather stripping, emblems, new unpainted nose, new headlights and bulbs, lower shifter boot, door panel clips, door hinge pin kit and strikers, rearview mirror, new stereo installed  (BOSS 60w x 4 w/ USB connection and remote), dash and door speakers (Sony explodes), Grant GT steering wheel w/ yellow stripe and mount kit. Will also include never opened Sherman Williams automotive single stage blue metallic paint I had got for it but never used.

Motor has been dismantled except the bottom end, didn’t get to it. Heads are apart and most of the valves, springs, keepers, etc.. bead blasted. Lots of parts have been bead blasted and painted, some not painted, but everything goes. Whole front of car is removed except for the frame and core support. Interior of car is decent, but gage cluster and column are dismantled also. Will not part out. PACKAGE DEAL ONLY!!!! So don’t ask! FIRM price! Don’t waste mine and your time with low ball offers and trade offers. Will not take trades. Any questions feel free to ask. You’ll need a trailer and a pickup truck to get everything home. Photo is of what car looked like when I bought it. Any questions please email at: jeffb32@sbcglobal.net. Car is in Toledo, Ohio

'93 Mustang LX Pursuit $5955

The final year of Ford's SSP (Special Service Production) or DSS (Domestic Special Service) Mustang was 1993. This black over gray cloth example was retired by the CHP after 100,000 miles of service as a freeway interceptor and chase vehicle. In 1997 I purchased the car with 140,000 miles. In the 12 years since, the vehicle has accrued 40,000 miles. Body straight and square, no wrecks.

Parts I have replaced in this time period include the heater core (stock); distributor cap, rotor and wires (FRPP); clutch (Cobra) and rear main seal; radiator (stock); headlamps (stock); rear upper control arms (stock); rear lower control arms (BBK); rear shocks; battery (2008); catalytic converters (2008); mufflers (FlowMaster 2008); windshield (2008); throttle body; A/C recharge (2008); ashtray lid and spring; tie rod ends; thermal engine cooling fan; driver door hinge pins and roller; oxygen sensor (2004). Upgrades include Maximum Motorsports full ladder subframe connectors installed by Thornhill Engineering; Maximum Motorsports rear brake upgrade with full mechanical kit; BBK cold air intake; Cervini 1 1/2 inch riser
fiberglass hood; black Cobra R-style wheels (17 x 9) shod with 255/40 Kumho ECSTA SPTs
(tire size chosen to retain the accuracy of the calibrated speedo); Maximum Motorsports polyurethane engine mounts and spring pads; BBK adjustable clutch cable.

The sale includes some extras: car cover; a set of lowering springs; fastener kit and door weatherstripping (5.0 Resto); new coil cover; all factory repair and troubleshooting books (Helms); Hawk Performance brake pads; all documentation and history.

In the interest of full disclosure I must reveal that the vehicle was stolen in Nov. 2007 and returned to me by
the CHP in Feb. 2008. The VIN had been removed and is now on a CHP-issued plate in the driver-side door jamb. The thief had swapped in a tilt steering wheel which I replaced with an original item. As a result, the column lacks the surrounding shroud trim pieces.

You may send an e-mail (etype1a@comcast.net) if you wish more details or call Randall Rich, (916) 725-9258.
